Pillows, Glorious Pillows!
It's amazing what such a small accessory can do to liven up your space.
You can use them to transition your bedding into the next season, make
your old sofa look new again, or too add some comfort to dining room
chairs. Whatever you choose to do with your pillows, there is no denying
that they make a huge statement for not a lot of investment.
Since pillows are available in every color and style under the sun, it's hard to choose a favorite. The girls at Bella Vita know all too well about choosing favorites...we're constantly asked "which one do you like" and "what's your favorite"! And we're not complaining either- we love helping y'all out with our two cents- but because of that we know just hard choosing can be!
Lately we've been noticing a trend in pillow design. Applique, detailed stitching, and layering of fabrics have all been making a big statement on pillows. Gone are the days when an accent pillow consisted of a coordinating fabric, pattern or color. These are the days were every little detail counts. The more details the better!
Some of our favorites right now just happen to be the detail-filled pillows mentioned above. Our bed and burlap settee are overflowing with glorious pillows just waiting to be the star of the room in your home. All of the details offer you a variety of options when it comes to placement and grouping. They hold their own on a bed, sofa or your piece of choice, but they also mix in great with others since there are so many colors and patterns on each pillow to play off of.
These three pillows are all very different, but arrange together nicely. By piecing different patterns, colors and textures together you can invite a casual and upbeat mood to your space.
When filling your sofa, bed or chair with pillows be sure try ending with an odd number. It has a less formal look and can allow you to focus on a feature pillow. For instance, in the photo above the two end pillows are interesting, but of the same design which allows the smaller dragonfly pillow to take center stage!
