Whether you're a collector of pottery, or just have a few key serving pieces for the kitchen, Good Earth Pottery is one name you should know.

In the spring of 2000 Richie Watts embarked on a creative experiment- he began making pottery. By fall of that same year, the elegant Mockingbird pattern (above) became recognized and in demand. Partner Carlos Caballero joined the team to add his creative talents and the two of them started the now nationally renowned dinnerware known as Good Earth Pottery. Little did Richie know when he began his "creative experiment" that he would become a house hold name across the United States.

Each piece is made entirely by hand- from the basic construction to the painting and glazing, Carlos and Richie have a place in it all. Good Earth Pottery comes in a variety of sizes and shapes, perfect for the avid collector or entertainer. Plates in four different shapes (round, square, rectangle and triangle) and varying sizes are available, as well as mugs, tumblers, goblets and bowls. Serving pieces in an array of sizes and shapes are offered so that no matter your need, there is a Good Earth Pottery piece to fill it.

The dinnerware itself is stoneware of the highest quality and is safe for use in dishwashers, ovens, microwaves (reheating only) and freezers. Serving your next family meal or preparing dinner for twenty of your closest friends is easy and elegant from preparation to table. The pottery is heavy and durable and are truly collector's items. In time you will be able to pass your favorite pieces down to friends or family looking as good as new.

This year Good Earth Pottery has decided to create limited edition pieces so that followers new and old can have pieces that are unique and one-of-a-kind. Limited numbers will be available in new and unique patterns that incorporate the colors of their best selling patterns such as Cinnabar, Bluebird, Mockingbird and Saffron.

As part of our Holiday Open House, Good Earth limited edition pieces will be available at Bella Vita on Saturday, December 3 from 10a-6p. Richie and Carlos will be here in the store to showcase the new pieces and to sign your favorites. Let Richie and Carlos tell you about their story and help you select the pottery that will best suite your needs and wants.

Come get ready for Christmas with Good Earth Pottery and Bella Vita. We can't wait to see you!
