For the Cake

Spray pan with Pam

1 pkg plain yellow or vanilla cake mix

1 pkg vanilla instant pudding

4 lg eggs

3/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream liqueur

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup water

For the Glaze

8 Tbsp (1 stick) of butter

1 cup of sugar

1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream liqueur

Vanilla ice cream for serving

1. Make the cake: Place rack in center of oven and preheat to 350. Spray 12 cup bundt pan with Pam.

2. Place the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, 3/4 cup liqueur, oil and water ina  large bowl. Beat the mixer on low until well combined. Increase speed and beat for 1 1/2 minutes. The batter should look smooth and thick. Pour into pan and place in oven.

3. Bake the cake until the top springs back 48-52 min. Transfer cake to wire rack and let cool 10-15 min.

4. Meanwhile, make the glaze. Place the butter, sugar and 1/4 cup water into saucepan over med/high heat, stirring. Boil for 4-5 min stirring constantly. Remove saucepan from heat and stir in 1/4 cup liqueur.

5. Invert the cake onto serving plate. Using a long skewer, poke 16 holes in the top of the cake. Spoon the glaze, scooping up what collects on the plate and spooning it back over the top of the cake. Slice the cake and serve it with vanilla ice cream.
